Startup Hell at HubSpot

I just finished the new best seller “Disrupted: My Misadventures in a Start-Up Bubble” by Dan Lyons, a writer for the HBO series Silicon Valley. I have three words if you haven’t read this book yet: “read it now”.

Wickedly funny, Dan Lyons writes a sarcastic, no-holds-barred narrative about his self described misadventures as an employee at the marketing automation, demand generation and CRM unicorn HubSpot.

As marketers, we all know HubSpot as the chatty “inbound evangelist” that’s trying to change the world with a ton of salesy B2B content. I never bought their pitch but – after reading this book – it’s now crystal clear to me why and why I’m writing this review.

Oh, and I promise you won’t be able to put this book down – and if you do, it’ll be because you’re laughing so hard you’ll have to catch your breath. Have fun with this great read.
