Perhaps a clue to the SiriusDecisions theme for the year is hinted at in the “Green Tie Gala” on the second evening, where double-platinum, Academy Award-nominated, billboard top 100 mainstay, “Counting Crows” will perform.
The opening keynote should strike a phenomenal chord as it will be given by American singer, songwriter, actress, poet and painter –Jewel. She’s a four–time Grammy nominee, sold 27 million albums and is regularly seen on television hosting the reality show Nashville Star and judging The Sing-Off. Jewel founded Project Clean Water in 1997. She has been relentless in her efforts to bring safe water to those in need and create awareness of clean water shortages around the world. To date, Project Clean Water has helped more than 30 communities overcome their individual drinking water problems in 13 different countries, on five different continents.
The People’s Shark
The final keynote address will be given by Daymon John who is the Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship and a household name for his ongoing presence in ABC’s smash hit, “Shark Tank.” After 7 seasons, 2 Emmy Awards, multiple Critic’s Choice Awards and millions of dollars in investments, “Shark Tank” has become the most watched program on Friday nights, and one of the most successful business reality series of all time. Daymond made his mark as the entrepreneur and branding expert behind the groundbreaking lifestyle brand, FUBU, which eclipsed more than $6 billion in global retail sales. He is author of three books, the latest of which debuted at #2 on the New York Times Best-Seller list in January of 2016. He is a truly dynamic speaker with relatable advice and practical takeaways.
